Day 1 : Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, assistance and transfer to your Hotel. Have a nice trip to Morocco !

Check-in at the Riad. It is located in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech and is a balanced blend of Morocco and Italy. A large Riad with 10 air-conditioned suites, each with its individual style. The property has a hammam and jacuzzi as well as a large swimming pool. There is a massage room; an interior lounge area as well as an interior dining room.

Day 2 : Marrakech

You’ll start by admiring the famous Koutoubia tower, Marrakech’s largest mosque, with its 70-metre-high minaret. The tower is a fine example of Hispano-Moorish art. Continue on to the Bahia Palace, surrounded by magnificent gardens brimming with fruit trees and fragrant flowers. After the Bahia Palace, you’ll head for the Saadian tombs, with their cedar domes and marble columns.

Then on to the Medersa ben Youssef, a former Koranic school named after Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf, an influential figure in the city’s development. The building, which once housed one of the largest Koranic schools in North Africa, accommodating up to 900 students, has been renovated and reopened to the public as a historic site.

On the way you stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets of the medina and visit Morocco’s famous souks with their eclectic products, from leather to clothing to spices.

Day 3 : Marrakech / Ouarzazate / Skoura

On the 3rd day, leave for the next stage of your trip to Morocco. Departure towards Ouarzazate through the High Atlas, via the Tizit-n-Tichka pass (2,260 meters) literally the pasture pass. This mountain range offers beautiful and very diverse landscapes and the view of numerous small villages, arranged in tiers. Then we take the road which leads to Ait Benhaddou through the Berber villages of the Atlas. Arrival at Ksar Aït Benhaddou and visit the most beautiful fortified village in the region. Then, head towards the Dadès valley to reach the palm grove of Skoura, about forty kilometers from Ouarzazate, visit the beautiful palm grove of Skoura with its douars and kasbahs like that of Amerdihil; then transfer to the hotel, in the heart of the palm grove.

Day 4 : Skoura / Tingher / Merzouga

Departure for Merzouga, via Tingher and the Erfoud road famous for its fossilized marble; via Tinjdad. On the way, discover the fougaras, an ingenious irrigation system. After Erfoud, the administrative center of Tafilaft including the capital Sijilmassa, founded in the 7th century near Rissani, was a major caravan port in Morocco from the 11th to the 15th century.

Then on to Merzouga, through a succession of Ksour (fortified villages), oases and palm groves. Arrive in Rissani, where if it’s hot, you’ll stop off at a kasbah with swimming pool (where you’ll sleep the next day). 4×4 drive to the bivouac, from where we leave by camel or on foot for a 1 to 2-hour walk to watch the sunset.

Day 5 : Merzouga / Todra Gorge / Ouarzazate

By the same route, return by 4X4 to Erfoud, then the minibus will head towards the Todra gogres, splendid and impressive, they have served as a natural setting for numerous films shot in Morocco. Cross Tineghir with its beautiful palm grove which you can visit. We then head for the Dades valley to reach the Dades gorges via a beautiful road dotted with small orchards and rocks dubbed “monkey phalanges” that run from the Roses valley region to Bou-Tharar.

Continuation of your trip to Morocco towards Ouarzazate via Kelaa M’GOUNA, a very charming little town, known as the capital of Rose thanks to the Rose Festival which is organized in May each year. The festival is also an opportunity for visitors to El-Kelaa to discover its small fair and the region’s handicrafts and agricultural products. Late transfer to Ouarzazate.

Day 6 : Ouarzazate / Marrakech / Imlil

Start the morning with an orientation tour of the town of Ouarzazate and its ancient Kasbahs. Ouarzazate is a magical town at the gateway to the Sahara, an ideal starting point for discovering southern Morocco, famous for its Kasbahs and Ksours, as well as its film studios.

Day 7 : Imlil / Essaouira

After breakfast at the hotel, we meet our expert mountain guide who will lead us on a half-day walk to discover the village of Imlil and its surroundings. Terraced cultivation, dry-stone houses, scenes of agricultural life, an opportunity to discover another way of life while filling your lungs with pure air.

Afternoon transfer to Essaouira.

 

Days 8 to 10 : Essaouira

Free days in Essaouira (no service).

 

Day 11 : Essaouira / Marrakeck, return flight

Your trip to Morocco is now coming to an end. Transfer to Marrakech airport for your return flight to France.
