Welcome and assistance at Kilimanjaro airport. Your guide will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall, then you’ll be transferred from Kilimanjaro airport to Arusha. Arrive and check into hotel, then free time to relax.
This morning, after breakfast, off to Ngorongoro, the crater region. Departure by 4X4 vehicle with your driver-guide.
The road leads west then south-west around the Monduli mountains before crossing the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley north of Lake Manyara. The road then climbs the western ridge of the rift valley and ascends to the elevated Ngorongoro region. (Approx. 04h00 travel time). In the afternoon, visit a coffee plantation.
Dinner and overnight stay on a local farm.
Day Safari to the Crater, and discovery of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers some 8,288 km2, of which 890 km2 is occupied by the forest of the volcano chain. Ngorongoro is the scene of all kinds of wildlife, with a wide variety of environments: swamps, grasslands, forests, streams, savannahs… The crater itself covers almost 260 km2. A World Heritage site, it is in fact a caldera – an ancient, gigantic volcano – which collapsed some 2.5 million years ago, covering the surrounding area in ash. Here you’ll find the highest animal density in Africa.

Depart Ngorongoro for Serengeti Park. Leaving the fertile highlands with their coffee and tea plantations, the route passes through the open plains of the Serengeti, where Masai pastoralists coexist with African wildlife. (Journey time approx. 3-5 hours).
Discover the Serengeti National Park. Covering an area of 14,800 km2, it adjoins Ngorongoro to the east and the Masai Mara (Kenya) to the north. It’s a magical place, as much for the beauty and diversity of its landscapes (plains, acacia savannahs, hills, large wooded areas) as for the variety of its animals. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded here, including ostriches, bustards and snakes.

Morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Covered by interrupted columns of zebra and wildebeest during the May migration, the savannah is home to a permanent resident fauna of spotted hyenas and jackals, who are likely to be among the first animals to greet you. The former are accustomed to digging their burrows at the edges of runways, while the latter occupy the holes left vacant by their powerful scavenger counterparts.
Then back to the lodge for dinner.

Picnic lunch, then transfer to the local airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar.
Arrive on the paradise island of Zanzibar, check into hotel and free time.

During the day, after enjoying your last moments on the sand, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to France.
