Your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Santiago airport for your flight to Punta Arenas.

Arrive at the airport and pick up your rental car at the rental counter, then drive to your accommodation where you will be offered a sea-view room (subject to availability).

Suggested itinerary :

From Punta Arenas airport, drive north through the vast Patagonian countryside, dotted with numerous Estancias. Arrival in Puerto Natales, a town on the banks of the Señoret Canal and gateway to Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most beautiful in South America.

Route: Approx. 3 hours’ drive, with a possible stop at Villa Tehuelche for a mid-route break.

Includes: private transport, domestic flight, car rental, insurance, room & breakfast.

Day 3: Puerto Natales

Free day to explore the region.

Suggested route/activity: Boat trip

Head for Mount Balmaceda (2035 m) north of Puerto Natales, in O’Higgins Park, almost unexplored by man apart from those arriving by boat. On the way, you can observe the Coïhues, canelos and lengas woods from the boat. You sail along the coast through the fjord, the boat getting closer to cormorants, wolffish and waterfalls.

You approach Mount Balmaceda and see the first glacier, the Serrano glacier, which you can observe from the boat. Disembark a little further north to discover the Balmaceda Glacier. Optional walk of around an hour round trip to get closer to the glacier. Stop off at Estancia Perales for lunch, a hearty asado.

Free afternoon to discover Puerto Natales, a town on the banks of the Senoret Canal and gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.

Puerto Natales is a quiet little town in the Patagonian fjords. Take time to relax on your arrival from Punta Arenas or after your visit to Torres del Paine National Park. Take a stroll along the canal, enjoy the restaurants or browse the Patagonian handicrafts at the Ether Aike market.

Visit the small Museo Historico, to learn more about the region, from the earliest inhabitants, or the Yaghan people, nomads known for living in canoes all along Tierra del Fuego, to the most recent settlers.

Includes: car rental, room & breakfast.

Day 4: Puerto Natales – Rio Serrano

Free day to explore the region.

Suggested activity/route :

Early morning departure for Torres del Paine National Park. First stop: the Milodon caves, a natural monument where you can see the archaeological remains of the area’s ancient inhabitants. There are three caves, the largest measuring 30 metres in height and 200 metres in length. The interest of the site lies in the discovery in 1896 of the remains of a prehistoric animal, a giant herbivore that inhabited the region and disappeared 10,000 years ago.

Then on to Torres del Paine Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. You can choose between 2 entrances to the park: to the Amarga lagoon to the east, or to the Rio Serrano to the south. Enjoy a panoramic view of the famous Paine Towers, long blocks of impressive granite.

Overnight in Estancia, mountain view room (subject to availability)

Includes: car rental, room & breakfast.

Day 5: Rio Serrano / Puerto Natales

Today you’re off to discover the legendary Torres del Paine National Park.

From east to west, the park offers a fabulous diversity of surprisingly colorful natural landscapes: vast green plains, numerous lagoons with turquoise, midnight-blue or metallic-gray waters, immaculate glaciers, and of course the inaccessible peaks of the Massif Paine itself, enthroned in the center of the park. Wild flora and fauna reign supreme here, and it’s not unusual to come across guanacos, huemuls and condors along the way.

Suggested itinerary: Exit Torres del Paine National Park and drive to Puerto Natales

Includes: car rental, room & breakfast
