Visit the citadel, from where you’ll have an unobstructed view of the entire Gulf; the Agriates desert; diving in the crystal-clear waters; discovering the many beaches; the Patrimonio wine route, etc…
Passage through Ile Rousse before reaching Calvi, 1h30 from Saint-Florent. One of the advantages of this Corsican road trip is that you will discover atypical Balanin villages like Pigna or Corbara on your route.
Arrive in Calvi, capital of Balagne, sit down facing the port where there are many small bars and restaurants with a festive atmosphere. Just behind, a parallel street with lots of little stores for shopping and buying local produce.
What to see: Climb to Notre Dame de la Serra for a panoramic view of the Bay of Calvi.
Natural landscapes are always exceptional on this Mediterranean coast! You’ll also find the beautiful Calanques de Piana, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another essential stop on your trip to Corsica, also classified by UNESCO, is the Scandola nature reserve! The village of Porto is more of a marina oriented towards river tourism.
What to do: Don’t miss the boat trip to discover the Scandola nature reserve and the surprising village of Girolata.
“Birthplace” of Napoleon, the city of Ajaccio is a stop on your road trip in Corsica that will be pleasant for you. Stroll through its narrow streets, visit the Fesch Museum and the Napoleon Bonaparte House, laze on the beach, hike to the Sanguinaires Islands… a busy stage!

Head further south to the pleasant seaside resort of Propriano. From here, you can discover “the most Corsican of Corsican towns” according to Mérimée: Sartène!
Off to the far south of Corsica! The region is renowned for its renowned beaches. Bonifacio was built on a limestone cliff over 1,500 meters long and around 100 meters wide. To discover the city, you don’t have to be afraid of walking!
