If you wish, the famous Petronas Towers, the world’s tallest twin towers (452 meters) and Kuala Lumpur’s landmark, are lit up every evening at 8pm for a sound and light show. They perfectly symbolize the city’s meteoric rise, the contemporary metropolis that is today’s “KL”.

Today you leave for Kuala Gandah and the elephant sanctuary orphanage. It’s the ideal place for a rare and fantastic encounter with Malaysia’s endemic elephants.
This truly unique orphanage offers a rare opportunity to learn more about these peaceful giants.
Don’t miss the chance to go for a ride through the jungle, perched on these oversized mounts, with the help of a guide, or mahout, of course.
For the bravest and most adventurous, there’s the unique experience of leading the elephants to the river and helping them bathe! There’s no better way to make direct contact with these gray giants.
There are an estimated 1,200 Asian elephants, also known as Elephus Maximus, left in the wild in Malaysia and this is the only conservation and protection center set up to reintroduce these pachyderms.
The elephants here have been rescued from situations of captivity and/or abuse from all over Peninsular Malaysia, and find a safe haven here in an environment that has remained natural and wild.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning you’ll head for Taman Negara.
Your first stop is at “Batu Caves”, a set of limestone caves located north of Kuala Lumpur, and the largest Hindu sanctuary outside of India. Pilgrims have been coming here from all over the world to visit and meditate for over 120 years. You’ll be greeted by a 42-metre-high golden statue of the god of war, the largest Murugan statue in the world.
You have to climb 272 steps to discover the most important cave, known as the “cathedral cave”, the numerous sanctuaries, images and paintings dedicated to the different gods.Il vous faut grimper 272 marches pour découvrir la plus importante des grottes, connue sous le nom de « grotte cathédrale », les nombreux sanctuaires, images et peintures dédiées aux différents dieux. You will also have the opportunity to meet macaques who play with tourists.
You take the road to Taman Negara, through many towns and villages on the Malay Peninsula.
Transfer to the hotel by non-private boat (5min), small wooden chalets scattered in well-kept nature. When you wake up, you will undoubtedly be lucky enough to see macaques walking around.
8:45 pm : Enjoy a 1-hour walk through the rainforest accompanied by an English-speaking naturalist guide. Today you are going to explore the tropical forest in a group, in the company of an English-speaking local naturalist guide. You walk on a comfortable wooden promenade, decorated with numerous steps. Enjoy an exceptional view of the highest mountain on the Malaysian Peninsula (2187 meters) from a nearby hill. You then climb to a height of 50 meters, to cover 530 meters on suspension bridges between the trees at canopy level, the longest suspension bridge course in the world ! Here again, you may be lucky enough to see pretty birds or monkeys jumping from branch to branch.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
2:30 p.m. : After lunch, indulge in a cruise on motorized canoes going up the Tahan River to the small waterfalls of Lata Berkoh. After a short walk in a wild jungle, immerse yourself in the refreshing water of the Gunung Tahan spring and its natural jacuzzi. Last stop at the Ikan Kelah reserve, a research center where you can feed the fish before returning to the hotel.

09:00 – 11:30 : transfer to the Kuala Tembeling jetty in a non-private pirogue, a chance to enjoy the jungle for longer.
Drive to the heights of Cameron Highlands and arrive at the hotel in the afternoon.

Leave in 4×4 for a day of discovery of Malaysia and more specifically the Cameron Highlands accompanied by an English-speaking naturalist guide.
You start with a short walk through the tea plantations, before driving towards the heights of the Mossy forest and Mount Gunung Brinchang, more than 2000 meters above sea level, from where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.
An interpretive walk in the Mossy forest will be an opportunity to learn more about the ecosystem, the particular fauna and flora of this region: precious medicinal plants, carnivorous nepenthes, orchids, primitive ferns and other spices. Nicknamed “Malaysia’s Pharmacy”, Cameron Highlands contains 70% medicinal plants, some of which are native to the Himalayas, New Zealand or even Australia (tea tree, brought by migratory birds. The moss forest in French, offers a magical spectacle: the trees no taller than 2.5 meters are all covered with a thick layer of greenery, the ground is spongy and you expect to see a Hobbit passing by at any moment… A real cinema setting !
Short drive and visit to the BOH tea plantation created by a British businessman during colonization in 1929. You discover the manufacturing processes at the factory before taking a short tour of the largest plantation in Southeast Asia, spread over more than 3,000 hectares. If 85% of production is dedicated to Malaysia, the rest is exported internationally, notably to Singapore and the Sultanate of Brunei.
12:30 pm : free lunch.
1:30 pm : drive to The Montane for a 3-hour hike on two different trails. Characterized by heavy rainfall, with a minimum of 1,750 to 2,200 mm per year, it’s pleasant to walk through the rainforest, which is only penetrated by faint rays of sunlight, but the tangled roots that often have to be stepped over are a reminder that we’re in the jungle.
4:30 pm : return to the hotel.
Notes : Cameron Highlands is located at an altitude of 1500 meters, so it can be cold. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes.

After enjoying the magic of the highlands, this morning you take the winding roads to the island of Banding, on Lake Temenggor, to explore the exceptional nature of the northern Malay Peninsula.
A stop in the old mining town of Ipoh, which expanded after 1845 with the discovery of iron deposits. The British settlers left behind a legacy of fine colonial buildings.
Discover the Perak Tong Cave temple. Created in 1926, this grotto with its pretty murals houses, among other things, a large Buddha statue. Climb the 250 steps through the temple and along the grotto to a view overlooking Ipoh.
Continuation to Kuala Kangsar, former royal capital. Photo stop at the Ubudiah mosque, remarkable for its immense golden dome. Pass by the former residence of Sultan Istana Kenangan, a beautiful building constructed exclusively of wood and woven bamboo.
You then cross the jungle and plantations to reach Banding, this island connected to the mainland by two bridges.
Check-in at the hotel, a marvel of modern architecture nestled in the heart of the jungle.
After dinner, departure for a short group hike to discover the rainforest by night. You may have the chance to hear or see some wild animals such as monkeys, but especially insects: stick insects, scorpions, caterpillars…

8:30 a.m : Today you join a group to discover the majestic nature of Banding, its fauna and flora.
In the morning, departure by boat in search of the “Rafflesia”, the largest flower in the world (subject to flowering). You’ll hike through dense jungle, cross streams, straddle the roots of ancient trees… Continue along the “elephant trail” to Salt Lake, where the animals come to drink. Here you may have the chance to see some of the region’s wild animals.
Picnic in the jungle next to a waterfall, an opportunity to swim in fresh water.
Discover a village of Orang Asli, Malaysia’s aborigines. Discover their way of life, homes and culture.

9 a.m : Transfer to Kuala Besut Pier for your seaside trip to Malaysia.
2 pm : transfer by boat to the island of Pulau Besar.
Late afternoon at leisure.
Palau Perhentian Besar is the larger and quieter of the two Perhentian islands. You’ll have the chance to snorkel in a warm, crystal-clear sea. The seabed is a real beauty, thanks to its exceptional flora and fauna. You can see turtles, rays, blacktip sharks, a wide variety of multicolored fish (triggerfish, clownfish…), impressive schools of sardines… all snorkeling from your Resort’s exclusive beach!
There are a few trails inland. You’ll easily come across monkeys, monitor lizards (sometimes over a metre long), squirrels, flying foxes (a large bat) and numerous birds. More rarely, flying squirrels or snakes.
The passage from the big island to the smaller one (Pulau Kecil) is easily done in a few minutes by water taxi, for the equivalent of 3 euros per person, to be booked directly at the hotel.
