Day 1 : Arrival in Brindisi

Take a direct flight from Paris and land at Brindisi Airport where you will collect your car and begin your journey to Puglia. Go to your first accommodation, an hour away. Set in the heart of an olive grove, this peaceful residence invites you to let go of all pressure and connect with the peaceful, natural rhythm of life here, with its swimming pool, farm animals and fragrant orchards. Don’t miss a trip to the spa in your free time, to feel ready and relaxed for this journey into the heel of the boot…

Day 2 : Otranto

We’re off to Otranto today. First Greek, then Roman, in Byzantine times Otranto was one of the most important ports on the Adriatic, a stopover on maritime trade routes. The ancient town is surrounded by a powerful fortified wall that still bears the scars of the battles between the Turkish janissaries and the Christians… It has retained all its charm with its Greek air and its cathedral with its magnificent mosaic floor.
There’s also a lovely walk along the shore, and if you want to cool off, there’s even a small beach below the ramparts.

Days 3 and 4 : Lecce

Lecce is rich in historic monuments and superb architectural masterpieces that make it worthy of comparison with the more popular city of Florence. But Lecce is also blessed with something Florence doesn’t have: a stunning seascape representing the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. Despite all these natural attributes, fortunately Lecce isn’t as touristy as Florence, and that’s another reason why it’s a real travel gem! With its Baroque churches, palaces and superb beaches, Lecce is a delight for visitors who see it for what it is!

Day 5 : Gallipoli

Continue your trip to Puglia on the Ionian coast of the Salento peninsula, and discover Gallipoli which seems to float on the emerald sea. Gallipoli means “beautiful city” in Greek…
Here, you’ll really want to take your time and take it easy. Whenever you feel like it, set off to discover Gallipoli, its historic old town and the beautiful sandy beaches that are Gallipoli’s pride and joy. Then continue up the coast to drop off your luggage at a charming new home. Set in a smooth landscape that rolls gently down to the enchanting Ionian Sea, among endless olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean thickets. With great respect for its ancient architecture, this home has become a unique farmhouse that combines its strong agricultural identity with refined hospitality.

Day 6 : Taranto

Head up the coast again today to reach the town of Taranto. A former Spartan colony, Taranto’s Greek ruins, Aragonese castle and stately palazzi make it one of Puglia’s most fascinating destinations. If the heat is getting to you, take a trip to the very interesting National Archaeological Museum, or take a dip on one of the many white-sand beaches along the coast.

Day 7 : Ostuni

Today, the last stop on your trip to Puglia, before closing the loop and returning to Brindisi, and not the least. The white city of Ostuni will delight you both visually and in terms of taste. Situated on the Appia dei vini, it is heir to a rich tradition of gastronomy and viticulture. Make the most of it! Wander between the ramparts of this town with its medieval touches, enter the churches made of pink and grey limestone, and lose yourself in this utterly bucolic and relaxing atmosphere.

Day 8 : Departure from Brindisi

Your trip to Puglia is coming to an end. Return to Brindisi today to drop off your car and catch a flight back to France.
