Days 1 and 2: Geneva

You’ll catch your morning train from Paris. Arrive in Geneva and check into your hotel, located in the heart of the city just a stone’s throw from Lake Geneva. Your accommodation takes you on a warm journey into the comforting world of an authentic Swiss chalet. A gentle setting between lake and mountains, this establishment enhances its identity with original, carefully-crafted decor.

What to see / What to do :

Lake Geneva, bordered by Geneva, the spa town of Thonon-les-Bains and the famous Montreux; the Flower Clock; the Palais des Nations; the bohemian atmosphere of the Carouge district; the botanical gardens; the Philippe Patek Museum, a must-see if you want to learn more about Geneva’s watchmaking history; shopping in the city’s upmarket stores; enjoying a drink on a terrace overlooking the lake at nightfall…

Enjoy lunch in one of the city’s top restaurants. Swiss fondue, woodcutter’s fondue, local charcuterie and goat specialties are all on the menu!

Days 3 to 5: Annecy

Take the train to Annecy! Arrive in Annecy and pick up your vehicle so you can explore the lake region at your own pace. You’ll be staying in a self-contained apartment just a few steps from Annecy’s old town.

This small town on the shores of the lake of the same name is a popular destination amidst the picturesque peaks of the French Alps. The turquoise waters of its lake seem unreal in this green setting. The town has a Venetian atmosphere, with its canals, folkloric alleyways and houses adorned with geraniums.

Our suggestions:

– Dinner at Clos des Sens, the town’s Michelin-starred restaurant, where chef Laurent Petit offers modern, tasty cuisine using herbs from his garden.

– Take a hike to the Refuge du Parmelan: a family welcome awaits you at<, where the best savory doughnuts and blueberry tarts in Savoie are served, making it a must for all hikers. Includes: 20-minute flight over Lake Annecy

Day 6: Talloires-Montmin

Head for the town of Talloires, where you’ll stop to enjoy a dream: a leisurely stroll, flourishing botanical gardens, a princess’s château and a historic abbey.

You’ll spend the night in a former Abbey converted into a charming hotel with a breathtaking view of the lake!

What to see / What to do :

Visit the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, said to have inspired Walt Disney to create some of his wonderful classics; lunch at the Auberge du Père Bise, a Michelin 2-star gourmet restaurant but above all a historic landmark.

Day 7: Saint Jorioz

Head south of the lake, on the way making a detour to the Vessone goat farm to discover the specialities of this alpine pasture.

Arriving in Saint-Jorioz, you’ll settle into a detached chalet, set back a little, overlooking the lake.

Our suggestions: Lunch at the Les Tilleuls restaurant, which serves a daily menu featuring fish caught directly from the lake!

Included: You’ll be invited to take part in a pastry/chocolate-making workshop at a chocolate factory in the Bauges region. This chocolate and ice cream maker works with a local plant grower to develop amazing taste combinations!

Day 8: Hike to Semnoz

The “Balcon des Alpes” awaits you for the day! This resort in the Bauges mountains, 20 minutes from Annecy, offers a wide range of activities in summer and winter. We suggest you leave in the morning to make the most of the day.

Whether you choose to take a short walk or rent a car, once you reach the summit (which rises to around 1,699 meters), you’ll be able to admire the view of the Haute-Savoie mountains: the Annecy side, the Bauges side and the Grand Plateau Nordique.

A panoramic cable car is open from July 13 to August 18, so don’t miss out!

Day 9: Saint Jorioz – Annecy / Return train

Last day in the region! You’ll return to Annecy to drop off your rental car and catch your return train to Paris!
