Departure around 09:00 from the hotel and transfer to Valparaiso.
Visit this World Heritage City and its old quarters on foot and by public transport with your guide. With its many hills crowned by picturesque dwellings and warehouses, steep narrow streets, funicular railways and street singers, the town has a very special identity and atmosphere. Lunch in a typical seafood restaurant.
It’s impossible to visit Valparaiso without discovering La Sebastiana, one of Pablo Neruda’s homes.
Transfer from your Valparaiso hotel to Santiago airport 03h00 before your flight to Calama. Arrive in Calama and transfer to the charming village of San Pedro, a refreshing oasis in the middle of the scorching Atacama desert. Welcome to Land of fire ! Free time for rest and gentle acclimatization.
At 3:00 pm, departure for the Cordillera de Sal and the Valley of the Moon, where we walk through a grandiose landscape of dunes and extremely jagged limestone mountains. You can admire imposing geological formations there. Watch the sun set over the rugged landscape in magnificent colors before returning to San Pedro.
For this 4th day of travel in Chile, you have your morning to take the time to stroll and stroll through the small streets of San Pedro. Possibility of visiting the Father Le Paige Museum, with its impressive collection of objects from the Atacamene culture.
Around 3:30 pm departure for the north of the Salar d’Atacama and the Cejar lagoon. Take a dip in this surprising lagoon, where you can float thanks to the extreme concentration of salt. An unforgettable moment in the middle of the desert! Continue on to Ojos del Salar, another lagoon where you can swim. End of your visit to the Tebenquinche laguna to enjoy the magnificent colors on the Licancabur volcano and a small aperitif with the famous pisco sour. Then back to San Pedro.
Option: Southern Sky Observation. At nightfall, you’ll head off with an astronomer to the semi-professional San Pedro observatory for an unforgettable session of discovery of the southern sky, undoubtedly the most beautiful sky in the world. After 02h00 of observation, alternating between the site’s 10 telescopes, you’ll enjoy explanations from the excellent Alain Maury, passionate astronomer and founder of this observatory, all in a convivial atmosphere, over a hot drink, before returning to the village with stars in your eyes.

Departure at 09:00 from the hotel for the Miscanti and Miñiques altiplanic lagoons, two typical lakes of the Andean highlands. Walk around the lakes and discover this fabulous place. Return to the pre-Hispanic village of Socaire for lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll head for the Chaxa lagoon, a salt lake in the middle of the desert and home to migrating flamingos from the Andes, Chile and James. At the end of the day, visit the small village of Toconao with its church, central square and craft market. Return to San Pedro de Atacama around 6:00 pm.
Departure at 5:00 a.m. for Tatio, where we admire the geysers roaring in the Altiplano cold. The valley resembles a gigantic cauldron. Water gushes here and there. This geological curiosity combines ground still frosted with springs of clear water at over 70°C. We observe numerous volcanic formations. Return to San Pedro and afternoon free to enjoy the charms of this oasis village.
Transfer to Calama airport. Arrival at Santiago airport and transfer to hotel.
Flight to Puerto Montt. Arrive at the airport and transfer to Puerto Varas on Lake Llanquihue for overnight stay.

Continue your trip to Chile with a departure at 9:00 a.m. to reach the neighboring town of Puerto Montt. From Puerto Montt, capital of Chile’s Lake District, we take the Panamericana 5 road to the port of Pargua, where we board a ferry to the Isla Grande de Chiloé. The crossing takes 30 minutes to disembark at the village of Chacao and Ancud. We visit the Puñihuil penguin reserve before heading south to the island’s capital, Castro.
You’ll enjoy a Curanto, a typical island dish made with meat, potatoes, corn cakes and seafood.
Departure at 9:00 am. Castro’s special feature is its houses on stilts, which are very practical for those on the water’s edge, and even for those further away, as it rains a lot here. Chiloé’s churches have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We visit a few along the way. We also pass through fishing villages, fishing and agriculture being the island’s main resources. A lovely stroll at the island’s leisurely pace. At the end of the day, return to the mainland on the same ferry. Arrival in Puerto Varas at the end of the day.
2 hours before takeoff, transfer to El Tepual airport. Welcome on arrival in Punta Arenas and transfer to Puerto Natales, a town on the banks of the Senoret Canal and gateway to Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most beautiful in South America.
Early morning departure. Direction Mount Balmaceda (2035 m), in O’Higgins Park, almost unexplored by man apart from those arriving by boat. The journey to Land of Ice begins at the Puerto Natales pontoon. From the boat, we can observe the Coïhues, canelos and lengas woods. We sail along the coast, then close to the sea wolves, landing north of the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. We walk to this superb site and enjoy the scenery. We return to the boat and stop off at the Monte Balmaceda hosteria, where a typical Patagonian barbecue awaits us.
Return to Puerto Natales.
Morning departure for Torres del Paine National Park. Our first stop is the Milodon caves, a natural monument where we can see the archaeological remains of the area’s ancient inhabitants. There are three caves, the largest measuring 30 metres high and 200 metres long. The interest of the site lies in the discovery in 1896 of the remains of a prehistoric animal, a giant herbivore that inhabited the region and disappeared 10,000 years ago. We then continue on to Torres del Paine Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. We enter the park via the Amarga lagoon sector, where we enjoy a panoramic view of the famous Paine Towers. These long granite blocks are impressive.
Along the way, you’ll discover lakes Nordenskjold and Pehoé, and the Salto Grande waterfall (the walking tour lasts around 45 minutes). Panoramic view of the Paine massif and its glacier, and of the Paine horns. This park will amaze you with its massif and turquoise lakes.
Transfer to Punta Arenas for your return flight to the Chilean capital.
