No vaccinations are required, but it’s best to be up to date.
Up-to-date vaccinations :
Vaccinations against rabies, typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B may be recommended, depending on the conditions and area of your stay. Bacterial meningitis A + C + Y + W135 may also be desirable.
The risk of mosquito-borne diseases has also been noted, so don’t hesitate to consult your doctor for more information before you leave.
Multiple-entry tourist visas can be obtained from the Nepalese embassy in Paris, online (http://www.nepalimmigration.gov.np) or on arrival at Kathmandu airport (please bring two passport-size photographs).
Visa durations and fees are as follows:
15 days : USD 25
30 days : USD 40
90 days: USD 100
The visa can only be affixed to a passport valid for six months or more.
These visas can be extended on the spot for periods of one month, subject to payment of a USD 30 fee, and up to a maximum stay of 150 days per calendar year.
