Vaccination against rabies may also be offered in certain cases, depending on the conditions and location of your stay. Ask your doctor or an international vaccination center for advice.
For stays in rural areas, vaccination against Japanese encephalitis may be required (if necessary, the French vaccine can be obtained from the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge). In addition to vaccination, as this viral disease is transmitted by mosquito bites, it is necessary to take protective measures against mosquitoes (see below).
A visa is required to enter Cambodia. Provided your passport is valid for at least 6 months, visas can be issued at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap international airports by the immigration authorities, subject to payment of a US$30 fee for a tourist visa; please bring a passport photo (4 x 6 cm).
