DISCOVER THE IBERIAN HAM

Sierra de Aracena in Huelva province is a mountainous region in the north-west of Seville (90 km) near the Portuguese border. It is here that products are the best hams in the world from the Iberian pig. These hams are dried thanks to the mountain air for 3 years and are considered by many to be the crown jewel of Spanish cuisine. Roger Davies, your host is a wine connoisseur and expert in Seville for everything about gastronomy. You will first visit a farm to see how pigs are raised, then the facility one of the best ham producers in the village of Jabugo, a mythical name in Spain for the excellent ham. An expert will show you, explaining the process of the production of ham and other products from the Iberian pig. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy the famous ham with a delicious glass of fino. It will be followed by a gourmet lunch in Aracena. Enjoy the finest local produce including cheese, ham, mushrooms, Iberian pork, asparagus, artichokes, etc.. The menu varies with the season. The meal will be accompanied by a good Spanish red wine before finishing with typical desserts.
