Day 1: Milan

Fly to Milan from France. Milan is, of course, the starting point for your tour of the Italian lakes, but it’s also an unmissable stopover, an enchanting city with a rich heritage that shouldn’t be overlooked. Settle down in the heart of downtown in an 18th-century palace, in a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. Don’t forget to take a moment to sit back and enjoy a cocktail in the hotel bar, renowned for its chic, relaxing ambience. Today, discover the chic city of Milan, climb to the roof of the famous Duomo and overlook the city, stroll through the impressive Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, and at nightfall, treat yourself to a grand opera performance at the La Scala theater. Then it’s time to set off for your first lake, Lake Garda…

Day 2: Lake Garda

Renowned for its microclimate, beautiful landscapes and fishing villages, it’s a place that has inspired the greats from Pliny to Goethe and D’Annunzio. Let yourself be seduced by its enchanting atmosphere and views. Here, you’ll stay in a hotel perfectly positioned on the lake, with a swimming pool and view. Start with a tour of the important villages on the southern shores of the lake, such as Sirmione, with its rich historical heritage, local specialties and charming, colorful houses in the center. Day 4: Lake Como

Today, we head for the second lake on your itinerary. Lake Como, a born seducer. Its villas with lush gardens and sapphire-blue waters, in which the peaks of the Alps are reflected, make it a world-famous holiday destination. It’s a real treat for the senses and a breath of fresh air. Visit the city of Como itself, with its pedestrian streets, silk museum and period buildings. Settle in for the night in an old villa, in a room featuring refurbished period furniture. Let your curiosity run riot and browse through the rare and period books in the on-site library, or let yourself be lulled by the gentle melody of a 19th-century music box in the same room… A trip back in time guaranteed.

Day 5: Lake Como

On your second day at Lake Como, discover the splendid villas built on the shores of the lake from the water. Villas that once belonged to the country’s most illustrious families, some of which are still inhabited by celebrities from all over the world who have come to enjoy the lake’s unrivalled lifestyle. Don’t hesitate to visit one, like Villa Carlotta and its magnificent botanical garden. Then take a tour of the lake’s most charming villages, each with its own character, each more enchanting than the last. Bellagio and its picturesque houses, Varenna and its monastery… there’s something for everyone.
For the night, drop off your luggage at a small waterfront hotel run by a kind-hearted and infinitely gracious hostess… Get to know her and the history of her building.

Day 6: Lake Maggiore

Today, we head for the last lake on your itinerary, Lake Maggiore. 65 km long, it nestles in a valley surrounded by wooded hills and mountains. Villages along the shores of the lake, along with Baroque villas, gardens and picturesque islands, make this a must-see destination on your tour. Take up residence on the eastern shore of the lake, in a family-run B&B overlooking the lake and offering unrivalled views in a stimulating, innovative setting. Day 7: Lake Maggiore

On the last day of your tour, set off to discover the famous Borromean Islands. On Isola Bella you can see the baroque-style villa of Palazzo Borromeo and its gardens, dating from the 17th century, while Isola Madre is visited for its botanical gardens and the 18th-century villa of Palazzo Madre. Day 8: Return to France
