Road to Nuwara eliya, nicknamed “Little England”, 2h30 drive from Kandy.
Visit the favorite resort of English settlers at 1900 meters altitude. Stroll around Lake Gregory and Victoria Park. Take a tour of a tea factory, a local specialty imported by the English.
On the program: bambarakanda falls, the highest waterfalls in the country at 263 metres. Rendezvous with a local guide for a short hike through the pine forest with its surprising scenery. The natural basin at the foot of the waterfall doubles as a swimming pool.
Next stop, Yala, a 3h30 drive away, where you’ll discover Yala National Park.

Visit Tangalle and its small fishing port, with all its colorful boats. Tangalle beach stretches for several kilometers. Take advantage of your 3 days to go for a walk and relax on the beach. Rent a canoe for a trip through the mangroves. Take a tuk tuk to visit the small town of Tangalle with its port and small market. Don’t miss the rock temple of Mulkirigala, a Buddhist temple perched atop a rock. The site is made up of 7 temples sheltered in the caves of a rocky cliff. Here you’ll discover Buddha statues, colorful frescoes and sculptures.
