Day 1: Arrival at San José airport

Arrival in San José and private transfer to your accommodation.

Costa Rica’s capital and largest city, San José is the starting point for your wilderness adventure. Striking contrasts, between warmly colored buildings rich in history and more contemporary constructions. With its new-found effervescence, you’ll be able to get the full flavour of the Central – and even South – American atmosphere!

Day 2: San José / Arenal

Pick up your vehicle and depart for Arenal, the national park with its famous volcano. A volcano that made a spectacular comeback with its devastating eruption in 1968. Nearby you’ll find the La Fortuna waterfall, hot springs and a lake. Walks and hikes on the program (alone or with English/French-speaking guide, please consult us)

Day 3: Arenal

Enjoy outdoor activities with zip lines and cable car rides for a breathtaking view of the site.

You can also discover the famous suspension bridges above the canopy. Immerse yourself in the heart of the jungle, where nature is lush and flourishing, and wildlife is preserved. Did you know that Costa Rica represents almost 5% of the world’s biodiversity?

Day 4: Arenal / Bijagua

Take the road to Bijagua, where you’ll have the chance to see the Celeste River in Volcan Tenorio National Park and its waterfalls. Further afield is the Miravalles volcano in the Guanacaste volcanic cordillera. A few hours of hiking are still possible. Why not add a horseback or quad ride to the mix?

Day 5: Bijagua

Rent bikes and go for a bike ride, with landscaped areas for a pleasant ride through forests, mountains and waterfalls.

Optional: Opt for the services of a local English-speaking guide who will take you on a complete tour of the site.

Day 6: Bijagua / Nosara

Welcome to the Pacific coast, in the Nicoya district. This “peninsula” is a perfect blend of jungles and beaches. Nosara offers a wide range of water sports, while those who prefer to relax can slip their feet into the warm sand…

Days 7 and 8: Nosara

Explore the charming Nosara beach in the heart of the Ostinal National Park. Make your program with a canoe-kayak activity to discover the Mangrove.

Day 9 and 10: Nosara / San José – RETURN FLIGHT

Return the vehicle and transfer to San José airport for your return flight to France.
