Day 1 and 2: Tahiti, Papeete

Arrival in Papeete for 1 night. Settle in to rest up from jet lag and get a taste of Tahiti. Jeep rides, hiking, water sports, dinner in Papeete harbor – there’s no shortage of things to do on the island.

Things to see and do :

A getaway to Moorea, just 30 minutes by ferry from Papeete.

Days 2 to 5: Tetiaora

After a flight aboard a small plane chartered for the occasion, you’re off to Tetiaora atoll. A true paradise on earth. You’ll be staying in one of Polynesia’s finest hotels, an upscale, renowned establishment named after a famous American actor.

The island:

You’re on the island you always dreamed of as a child, when someone would finish telling you a story. As if you’d created it yourself, from scratch. With its white sandy beaches, coconut palms swaying in the wind, brightly coloured birds and sparkling lagoons!

Behind this breathtaking beauty, Tetiaora is a place rich in biodiversity and a natural sanctuary for birds and marine wildlife. Preserving and protecting this rare habitat and its wildlife is important to us all. Your hotel is committed to this and is working on a number of programs to restore and nurture this flora and fauna.

Tetiaora holds a special place in Polynesian history and culture. The atoll was the favorite and exclusive vacation spot of Tahitian royalty for several centuries. Some of the ancient “Marae” (temples built on the atoll) can still be seen today. With its rich history and almost celestial beauty, this small piece of the globe will always hold a special place in the hearts of Polynesians.

Hotel:

This hotel is the only luxury resort on Tetiaora atoll. It sits on one of a dozen small sandy islands (motus), which surround a spectacular three-mile lagoon. The motus are all private property dedicated solely to resort guests.

A 20-minute private flight from Tahiti will take you there. Then it’s off to one of 35 all-inclusive villas, with a private pool on the beach, where you’re sure to spot a few exotic birds or sea turtles!
