Arrival from France to Sydney airport. Transfer to your hotel downtown for your first, life-saving night.
For your first day on site, you’ll start by heading to Circular Quay to meet the majestic and renowned Harbour Bridge and Opera House. In the afternoon, stroll through the pleasant district of The Rocks and, if you’re here on the right day, take a trip to the market.
Head to the well-known Bondi beach early in the morning to enjoy the first rays of sunshine and a calm beach. Then walk the Coastwalk from Bondi to Bronte, along some of Sydney’s finest beaches. Later in the day, take a trip to the Royal Botanical Gardens. They offer a different view of the Opera House (an elevated view), less crowded and in the shade. In the gardens you’ll come across a wide variety of typical Australian trees and flowers.
Take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Beach and enjoy what Sydneysiders call “the most beautiful ferry ride in the world”, past the Opera House, Taronga Zoo and surrounding coves. Then enjoy the softness of Manly beach and its village-like pedestrian streets. Try your hand at surfing! On the way back, spend the afternoon at Taronga Zoo, with its magnificent views over the city.
In the morning, treat yourself to a final, different view of Sydney and take a ride on the Sydney Tower Eye. Then pick up your car and hit the road for the Blue Mountains!
Arriving at Wentworth Falls the day before, you’ll have the whole day to explore the waterfalls and take the hiking trail that most appeals to you – there are so many to choose from. Discover the flamboyant nature of these UNESCO World Heritage mountains.
In the morning, we drive to the Blue Mountains’ most famous village, Katoomba. During the day, you’ll stroll through the city’s Art Deco streets and visit the nearby Three Sisters. Sleep in Katoomba and enjoy the cool mountain air in the evening.
In the morning, pick up your car and drive to the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine-growing region (150 wineries). In the afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting from the valley’s vineyards. Or if you prefer, you can attend a cooking class with a top chef.
You’ll have to get up at the crack of dawn to witness a magnificent spectacle. Take a hot-air balloon ride to see the sun rise over the valley. You’ll then fly from Newcastle to Hervey Bay and finally take the ferry to Fraser Island.
Arriving the day before on the paradise island called K’Gari (paradise) by the Aborigines, you’ll take the time to discover it at the wheel of your 4×4 and even experience something very Australian: driving on the beach! Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island. Swim in Lake Mackenzie and take a look at the wreck of the Moheno ship washed up on the beach.
Try the “Champagne pools”, natural pools created by waves breaking on volcanic rock. Then fly back to Hervey Bay for the Whitsundays.
The Whitsunday Islands are an archipelago of 74 paradise islands. Head first for one of the islands, Whiteheaven. As its name suggests, this white paradise is made up of turquoise waters and soft white sand, for your complete satisfaction. Relax in this idyllic setting.
Discover another island, this one renowned for its snorkeling and diving spots. At Hook Island, don your mask and snorkel and dive into a rich marine life of turtles, manta rays and dolphins.
For this last day on the Whitsundays, discover them from a different point of view. Head to Airlie Beach on the mainland, and board a seaplane to fly over the islands! Breathtaking views guaranteed. At the end of the day, take a flight to your last stop, the most northerly, Cairns.
Join us on the banks of the Daintree River to observe crocodiles in their natural environment, in the company of a guide. Then take a stroll through Daintree National Park, where you’ll find a change of scenery in this jungle-like rainforest. It is home to thousands of endemic plants and animals.
On the last day of your trip, dive the famous Great Barrier Reef. Swim among corals, whales, giant clams and turtles… Whether you’re there for the first or the tenth time, the wonder never fades.
