Depending on the conditions of your stay and the areas you visit, vaccination against rabies may be recommended. Consult your doctor.
French nationals traveling individually or in groups may enter Egypt with a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of return to France.
A visa is required. Tourist visas can be obtained from an Egyptian consulate on arrival in Egypt, or online at visa2egypt.gov.eg (application to be submitted at least seven days before departure). With an initial duration of one month, the visa can be extended at the immigration office (in Cairo, Tahrir Square, “Mogamma” building). Visas are subject to a fee (25 USD for a single-entry visa, 60 USD for a multiple-entry visa).
